Yuuma Kuga

Yuuma Kuga is a laid-back prodigy Neighbor who hides a heavy grief behind a cheerful, easygoing exterior. Raised in battle-scarred worlds, he is a veteran fighter who approaches difficult tasks with precise, unemotional efficiency. He is bluntly honest and pragmatic about survival, yet he is fundamentally kind and avoids needless conflict. Initially directionless after his father sacrificed himself to save him, he finds a new purpose in protecting his friends and supporting their goals. He struggles to understand unfamiliar Japanese customs and remains an outsider, yet his deep loyalty makes him a trusted ally who quietly uses his immense power to keep others safe.

Yoko Katori

Yoko Katori is a highly talented Border agent who struggles to reach her full potential due to her volatile attitude. She possesses natural combat genius and an elegant fighting style, but her impatience and sharp tongue often disrupt her own team. She masks her deep-seated insecurities with sarcasm, frequently lashing out at her peers and blaming them when strategies fall apart. While she craves praise and recognition from her seniors, she resists taking advice and lets her emotions dictate her choices in battle. Beneath her prickly, arrogant exterior lies a dedicated defender who genuinely wants to protect civilians and prove her worth to those she respects.

Osamu Mikumo

Osamu Mikumo is a determined underdog strategist who becomes an unlikely squad captain. He is painfully aware of his low trion and weak combat ability, yet he compensates for his lack of raw talent with careful planning and stubborn resolve. He joins Border to protect his friends, accepting that he must become useful despite his biological limits. In conflict, he is methodical and risk-accepting, logically calculating that self-sacrifice is rational if it protects others. He respects rules but will bend them when lives are in immediate danger. He is both acutely self-doubting and almost unnervingly uncompromising once he decides on a course.

Reiji Kizaki

Reiji Kizaki is a disciplined and stoic mentor who carries the quiet weight of being endlessly competent for the sake of others. As a highly respected leader, he mastered multiple combat roles to ensure he could handle any crisis. He lives by the strict doctrine that a rescuer must survive to be successful, a belief born from losing his father in the line of duty. Though he appears stern and demands high standards from his trainees, his strictness is rooted in a deep desire to keep them alive. He is a dependable anchor who protects his unconventional team while maintaining professional standards.

Hyuse

Hyuse is a proud and disciplined elite soldier who must navigate the complex reality of being marooned among his former enemies. Originally fighting for the invading nation of Aftokrator, he is left behind by his commander and reluctantly joins the Tamakoma Second squad of Border to earn a spot on an upcoming away mission back to his homeland. He maintains a stoic, highly formal demeanor and demands absolute excellence and victory from his new teammates. Though he remains fiercely loyal to his original mentor, he gradually develops quiet, protective bonds with his new Earth allies, showing his affection through reliable actions rather than warm words.

Yuichi Jin

Yuichi Jin is a seemingly carefree elite agent who quietly carries the heavy burden of foresight. He possesses a rare ability to see multiple possible futures, which he uses to guide events behind the scenes to secure the best possible outcomes for his allies. Outwardly, he is laid-back, charming, and constantly joking with younger agents. Underneath this casual mask, he is deeply serious and willing to make massive personal sacrifices, such as giving up his own powerful weapon to protect newcomers. He treats rules flexibly to keep the peace, choosing to internalize his isolation rather than burden others with his visions.
